Motiv Trident Abyss

The Motiv Trident Abyss is another heavy oil ball from Motiv. It will be released on October 3rd, 2018. It is expected to be placed at the top-left of the Motiv Ball Guide Chart, meaning that this ball will have a smooth, but powerful hook potential. This ball will fill a specific niche in your ball arsenal if your Jackal or regular Trident is just a bit too angular on the back-end. The shape produced by this ball is unlike most other balls on the market. The smooth shape combined with the strong hook potential takes this ball from just being a typical benchmark ball to also being a specific niche-filler. Continue reading “Motiv Trident Abyss”

Motiv Hydra

The Hydra™ is one of the cleanest bowling balls ever produced by Motiv. The combination of the incredibly clean and angular Hexion cover system combined with the high RG/low differential Halogen core results in easy length with impressive backend motion.  Typically, a 5500 Grit LSP finish is used for light oil balls, but a 5000 Grit LSP finish was utilized on the Hydra because the cover glides through the front of the lane so easily.  This finish enables the ball to read the lane better and improves predictability at the backend. Motiv Jackal Rising

The Jackal™ is back and stronger than ever before!  The Jackal™ Rising is an obvious choice for speed dominant bowlers who are looking for maximum hook potential.  Bowlers competing on high volume oil patterns will want the Jackal Rising in their bag.  And, because of the smooth motion that this ball delivers, it is also a great option for blending over/under situations. Motiv Venom Shock

The new solid purple Venom Shock produces a violent reaction on light to medium oil conditions.  It attacks the lane with the proven Gear™ weight block and new cover technology – Turmoil™ MFS (Medium Friction Solid) Reactive, which is a modified version of the more aggressive shell featured on the Covert Revolt.  This core and cover combination provides a smooth yet angular backend motion that strikes with devastating continuation. Motiv Trident

The Trident™ is the ultimate weapon for heavy oil and features MOTIV’s latest technology to provide massive hook potential.  Featuring the new Turbulent™ asymmetric core, the Trident™ explores a spec set no previous MOTIV release has targeted before.  This enables the ball to retain more energy and produce powerful continuation.  Coercion HVH (High Volume Hybrid) cover stock is also new technology.  It gives the Trident™ superb mid-lane read and an incredibly strong transition at the backend.  Tuned with a 3000 Grit LSS finish, this ball dominates on heavy oil.  The Trident is a heavy oil ball that offers massive hook potential and versatility.  Many league bowlers will find it playable on medium-heavy oil patterns too because it retains energy so well. Motiv Jackal Ghost

The Jackal has been resurrected! The new Jackal Ghost is here to reign terror on heavy oil. With paranormal performance, it delivers more total hook potential than any previous Jackal with no loss in continuation. It’s scary good! The Predator V2 weight block, first used on the Jackal LE, is now at the core of the Jackal Ghost. Featuring a low RG and loads of differential, this asymmetric design is easy to rev and produces massive track flare. Continue reading “Motiv Jackal Ghost”
